ABOUT US

We pride ourselves on customer care, before, during and after service. It’s what makes us stand out from the crowd

We’re considerate

We know how frustrating it can be when a tradesman parks in your driveway – potentially blocking you in when you want to go out. We will ask before we bring the van up your driveway, it does make our life easier having the tools on hand, however we want to ensure that you’re happy with it first.

We’ll be on time

We know how frustrating it is when someone says they’ll turn up at a certain time, and then don’t!
Marshall Electrical will turn up when we say we will, and if not, you will have received a phone call from us letting you know our new expected arrival time – with our apologies. No call or text message will go unanswered.

Budgets that work

We all have dream lists, however there is always a budget that needs to be adhered to.
Marshall Electrical will work with you on prioritising the jobs on your list, your timeline and working to your budget. We are happy to offer suggestions in regards to your electrical work.

You can trust us

After watching the horror stories on TV, letting people into your home may be a concern for some.
You can trust our team that we will only go into your home if required and only where we need to be.
We also promise to leave your home in the same state we found it – clearing up all pieces of electrical equipment, and no muddy boot prints!

JAMES MARSHALL

James started his apprenticeship in Hamilton in 2005, specializing in large scale construction – including opportunities in the construction of Braemar Hospital, Thames Hospital, Huntly Countdown, and Ibis Hotel. He was also involved in the planned maintenance and shutdown of the turbines at the Huntly Power Station.

A move to Australia saw James work in a company working as their sole breakdown/serviceman before he headed to work in the mines.

While at the mines James worked in the construction of the processing plants which started in Jimblebar Newman in Western Australia (an Iron Ore plant for BHP), to Wollebee Creek in Queensland (Gas plant for the QCLNG project), back to Brisbane for the construction of ‘legacy way’ underground car tunnel, to Chinchilla (Gas Plant for QCLNG project), to Roma building large substation switchyards for UGL (LNG gas project), then finally to Barrow Island off the west coast of Australia for the largest gas project in Australia.

Moving back to Te Kuiti to be close to his wife’s family, James worked with a local company until he started his own business.

Outside of the business, James spends his spare time with his wife Lisa, and their children, enjoying sports, time at the beach and diving. He’s also a loyal supporter of the Warriors, Member on the Board of Trustees of Pukenui Primary School.

James is proud to be involved in the local community.
